This video shows the lethal power of the fungi called Cordyceps. Cordyceps fungi infect the body and brain of the host, in almost all cases an insect. The spores manifest and then emerge from the dead host. Most insects know the signs of these infections and remove them from the colony immediately. Although the insect’s death is brutal some of the bodies look beautiful as a result.
